National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) is a standalone society working under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. Its mission is to assist tribal students through quality education and development in every aspect. One of the primary methods of doing so is through the establishment of Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS), which give tribal children more improved learning conditions. To fund these projects, NESTS wants skilled experts to work as Architect Consultants and Technical Consultants (Civil) on a contract basis. The duties in these positions will include designing buildings, monitoring the projects, and conducting construction work within a specified timeframe. Note that this contract does not guarantee any permanent employment with NESTS.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Architect Consultant
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Architecture from a recognized university or institution.
- Experience: At least seven (7) years of hands-on experience in architectural planning, design work, and creating Master Layout Plans (MLPs).
- Preference: Candidates with prior experience in projects related to Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) will be preferred.
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years as of 1st June 2025.
2. Technical Consultant (Civil)
- Educational Qualification: A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university or recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in planning, monitoring, and executing building projects.
- Preference: Experience in EMRS-related projects is preferred.
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years as of 1st June 2025.
Salary and Remuneration
- Architect Consultant: ₹80,000 per month (fixed monthly remuneration).
- Technical Consultant (Civil): A fixed monthly salary of ₹60,000 will be offered.
Remuneration is fixed for the contract period and may be revised after completion of one year. The enhancement will be linked to the Central Dearness Allowance (CDA) rate with an additional 2% increase, subject to satisfactory performance.
Selection Process
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on their educational background and relevant work experience.
- Only those who are shortlisted will be invited for the next stage, which may include an interaction or interview.
- NESTS holds the discretion to reject any application without providing a specific reason.
- The engagement is purely contractual and does not confer any permanent employment rights.
- The decision of NESTS regarding the selection process and appointment shall be final.
Scope of Work
Architect Consultant
The appointed Architect Consultant will be responsible for architectural planning and design of EMRS projects, including:
- Scrutiny of conceptual and master plans.
- Site layout and functional planning, including difficult terrain designs.
- Review of architectural working drawings and coordination with plumbing and electrical layouts.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and refining designs for value addition.
- Preparing detailed internal and site-specific special plans.
- Conducting site inspections and coordinating with various stakeholders.
Technical Consultant (Civil)
The Technical Consultant (Civil) will undertake project monitoring and site inspection activities such as:
- Daily coordination and progress monitoring of ongoing projects.
- Technical scrutiny and document control.
- Conducting site inspections and ensuring quality assurance.
- Resolving issues through stakeholder interface.
- Verifying land and service layout finalization.
- Assisting in progress certification and maintaining records.
- Tracking time, cost, and quality performance metrics.
- Verifying completed projects and providing miscellaneous technical support as required.
