AIIMS Mangalagiri Recruitment 2025 – Contractual Job Opportunities at ATF Unit

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Mangalagiri is inviting applications for various temporary positions under the Addiction Treatment Facility (ATF). This initiative functions as part of the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR) and is supported by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. Nationally coordinated by the National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre (NDDTC), AIIMS New Delhi, the project aims to offer integrated treatment and rehabilitation services for individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

The appointments are strictly on a contractual basis for a duration of 11 months and offer a valuable opportunity to be part of a multi-disciplinary team addressing one of the most critical public health challenges.

Eligibility Requirements

1. Senior Resident (Medical Officer)

  • Essential: Postgraduate medical degree (MD/DNB) in Psychiatry from a recognized medical council.
  • Preferred:
    • Post-doctoral or fellowship training in Addiction Psychiatry.
    • Minimum two research papers published in PUBMED-indexed journals.
    • Involvement in mental health-related research initiatives.

2. Clinical Psychologist (Counselor)

  • Required Qualifications (any one of the following):
    • M.Phil in Clinical Psychology or equivalent qualification.
    • Master’s in Psychology (with specialization in Experimental Psychology) along with a recognized diploma in Clinical Psychology.
    • Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.
  • Mandatory: Must be registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India.
  • Desirable: Hands-on experience in addiction treatment or vocational counseling services.

3. Psychiatric Social Worker

  • Minimum Requirement:
    • Master’s in Social Work (specialization in Psychiatric Social Work), or
    • M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work.
  • Advantageous: Familiarity with addiction rehabilitation centers or psychiatric vocational support.

4. Psychiatric Nurse

  • Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Psychiatric Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Preferred: Relevant work experience in mental health or addiction support units.

5. Data Manager

  • Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Computer Application.
  • Added Advantage:
    • Typing proficiency with a minimum speed of 35 words per minute in English.
    • Experience working in medical or public health project settings.

Compensation Package

  • All roles are offered with fixed, consolidated monthly pay.
  • No additional benefits, allowances, or perks are applicable.
  • Payments will be made based on the duration of the engagement under the ATF project terms.

Roles and Responsibilities

Senior Resident (Medical Officer)

  • Evaluate and diagnose substance use patients.
  • Administer pharmacological treatment and coordinate referrals.
  • Conduct awareness sessions and community health outreach.
  • Maintain clinical documentation and support research activities.
  • Assist in supervising the functioning of the ATF clinic.

Counselors (Clinical Psychologist / Psychiatric Social Worker)

  • Help with patient evaluations and therapeutic sessions.
  • Deliver individual and group counseling.
  • Follow up with patients and their families.
  • Engage with community and health services to encourage treatment access.
  • Keep accurate patient records and assist with reporting duties.

Psychiatric Nurse

  • Dispense prescribed medication and maintain relevant stock logs.
  • Provide basic medical support in absence of a physician.
  • Help with data entry, reporting, and maintain care standards in the unit.

Data Manager

  • Record patient information and manage digital records.
  • Assist in preparing monthly progress and financial reports.
  • Coordinate with nursing and administrative teams for logistical support.

Selection Process

  • Candidates must appear in person with the completed application form, original certificates, and two sets of self-attested copies of relevant documents.
  • Walk-in interviews will be conducted on the specified date for eligible applicants.
  • In case of high applicant turnout, a written screening test may be conducted before the interviews.
