Applications are invited from retired government employees who are not more than 63 years old as on 01-05-2025 and who have previously served as Inspectors, Extension Officers, Head Clerks, or Upper Division Clerks (UDC) in any Block. Candidates will be appointed on a contractual basis to serve as Additional Inspectors for Backward Classes Welfare & Tribal Development (BCW & TD) at the Purulia Municipality Office.
The engagement will initially be for one year, with the possibility of renewal every year up to the age of 65, subject to satisfactory performance during the contract period. This role involves assisting in the implementation and monitoring of welfare schemes and tribal development programs within the district.

Eligibility
Applicants are required to meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must be a retired government employee who has served as an Inspector, Extension Officer, Head Clerk, or Upper Division Clerk (UDC) in any Block.
- Must not be older than 63 years as on 01-05-2025. Contract renewal may be allowed yearly up to 65 years of age, based on satisfactory service.
- Should provide necessary documents such as Pension Payment Order (P.P.O.), Admit Card, and EPIC/Aadhaar as proof of identity and retirement status.
- Must indicate the service group (A/B/C) during retirement.
- Applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Exempted Category/Persons with Disabilities (PH) should clearly state their category.
- The candidate should be willing to work on a contractual basis at the consolidated pay offered.
Salary
- The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 12,000/- for the contractual period.
- No additional benefits, allowances, or perks will be provided beyond the consolidated pay.
Selection Process
- Selection of candidates will be conducted via a walk-in interview.
- A list of eligible candidates for the interview will be displayed on 16th June 2025 at the office notice board.
- No personal notifications will be issued about the interview. Candidates must refer to the notice board and may contact the office on 16th June 2025 for any clarifications.
- No travel allowance or any other allowance will be paid to candidates appearing for the interview.
- Final selection will be based on the candidate’s service record, experience, performance in the interview, and verification of documents.
