The High Court of Tripura has officially announced a recruitment drive for several positions under Group “C” and Group “D” categories in the District and Subordinate Judiciary. Online applications are now open for 127 positions across various roles, including Personal Assistant (Stenographer), Lower Division Clerk, Driver, and several Group-D posts such as Peon, Orderly, and Guard.
Candidates who meet the required qualifications and other conditions can apply online within the specified dates. Appointments will be offered on a fixed monthly pay basis, and the recruitment will follow a multi-stage selection process.

Eligibility Criteria for Each Post
1. Personal Assistant (Stenographer)
- Academic Qualification: Graduation in any stream from a recognized university
- Skills Required:
- Dictation speed: 100 words per minute in English shorthand
- Typing speed: Minimum 60 words per minute on a computer
- Minimum 6-month certificate course in computer education
- Age Range: 18–40 years (Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/PWD/Govt. employees)
2. Lower Division Clerk (LDC)
- Academic Qualification: Graduation in any discipline
- Other Skills:
- Typing speed: At least 30 words per minute on a computer
- Basic computer course of at least 6 months duration
- Age Range: 18–40 years (Relaxable for eligible categories)
3. Driver
- Academic Qualification: Secondary/Madhyamik pass
- Other Requirements:
- Valid commercial driving license
- 3 years of experience in driving light motor vehicles
- Must be medically fit for the role
- Age Range: 21–40 years (Relaxations applicable as per norms)
4. Group-D (Peon, Guard, etc.)
- Academic Qualification: Passed Secondary or Madhyamik Examination
- Age Range: 18–40 years (Relaxable for eligible categories)

Steps to Apply Online
- Visit the official website of Tripura High Court.
- Go to the “Recruitment” section.
- Read the instructions carefully before proceeding.
- Fill out the online application form with accurate details.
- Upload required documents and pay the applicable fee.
- Submit the form and take a printout of the confirmation for future reference.
Note: Do not submit more than one application. If more than one is submitted, only the latest one will be considered.
Disqualification Criteria
A candidate will be disqualified from the recruitment process if:
- They are not an Indian citizen.
- They have been removed from service by any government or judicial body.
- They have a criminal conviction related to moral turpitude.
- They are currently married to more than one spouse.
- They attempt to manipulate or unduly influence the recruitment process.
Important Instructions
- Candidates must be permanent residents of Tripura and have a valid PRTC.
- General (UR) candidates may also apply; however, preference will be given to SC/ST candidates. If no suitable reserved candidates are available, UR candidates may be selected as per applicable rules.
- Those already employed in government service must apply through proper channels or submit a No Objection Certificate from their current employer.
- All costs related to appearing in the exams will be borne by the candidates.
- Original documents will be verified before the written test for shortlisted candidates.
