Eligibility Criteria

For Scientist D:

  • Officers holding a similar position or with four years of experience in Level 11 are eligible.
  • Educational Requirements:
    • BE/BTech/MCA (First Class) in a relevant stream OR
    • M.Tech/M.E. in a relevant discipline OR
    • First-class Master’s in relevant domain OR
    • Ph.D. in the concerned area
  • Experience Required:
    • BE/BTech/MCA: 7 years
    • M.Tech: 5 years
    • PG Degree: 7 years
    • Ph.D.: 4 years

For Scientist E:

  • Officers must be in an equivalent role or have 4 years of experience in Level 12.
  • Same educational qualifications as above.
  • Experience Required:
    • BE/BTech/MCA: 11 years
    • M.Tech: 9 years
    • PG Degree: 11 years
    • Ph.D.: 8 years

For Scientist F:

  • Candidates must hold an equivalent position or have completed 5 years in Level 13.
  • Qualifications remain the same.
  • Experience Required:
    • BE/BTech/MCA: 16 years
    • M.Tech: 14 years
    • PG Degree: 16 years
    • Ph.D.: 13 years

Salary Details

  • Scientist D: ₹78,800 to ₹2,09,200 (Level 12)
  • Scientist E: ₹1,23,100 to ₹2,15,900 (Level 13)
  • Scientist F: ₹1,31,100 to ₹2,16,600 (Level 13A)
