IRCON International Limited, a premier infrastructure undertaking under the Ministry of Railways and a Navratna PSU, is hiring skilled civil engineering professionals for regular positions. The organization has invited applications for two critical roles: Joint General Manager/Civil (E-5) and Deputy General Manager/Civil (E-4). Eligible candidates with relevant qualifications and experience must apply in offline mode.

Application Fee

  • General and OBC Category: ₹1000
  • SC/ST/EWS/Ex-Servicemen: Exempted from payment
  • The fee must be paid via a Demand Draft drawn in favour of “IRCON INTERNATIONAL LIMITED” and payable in New Delhi.
  • Candidates must write their name, post applied for, advertisement number, and date of birth on the reverse of the demand draft.

Age Criteria (As on 1st May 2025)

  • For Joint General Manager (E-5): Maximum 45 years
  • For Deputy General Manager (E-4): Maximum 41 years
  • Age relaxations will be applicable as per Government of India norms and internal IRCON policies.

Available Positions

  • Joint General Manager/Civil (E-5): 2 positions (1 for OBC, 1 for UR)
  • Deputy General Manager/Civil (E-4): 1 position (Reserved for ST candidates)

Salary Structure

  • Joint General Manager (E-5): ₹80,000 to ₹2,20,000
  • Deputy General Manager (E-4): ₹70,000 to ₹2,00,000

In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates are entitled to:

Educational Requirements

Candidates must have:

  • A full-time Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an AICTE-approved university/institute, securing minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade.
  • Preference will be given to those with a full-time Master’s degree (ME/M.Tech) in the Civil Engineering domain.

Experience Criteria (As on 1st May 2025)

For Joint General Manager/Civil (Grade E-5):

  • Applicants should possess a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience after obtaining the required educational qualification.
  • For individuals employed in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Government departments, or Indian Railways:
    • Must currently be serving in the pay band of ₹80,000 – ₹2,20,000 (IDA scale) or at Level 12 under the Central Pay Commission (CDA),
    • OR must have completed at least two years in the ₹70,000 – ₹2,00,000 (IDA scale) or Level 11 (CDA).
  • For candidates employed in government-owned banks or other non-IDA/CDA entities:
    • Must currently be earning an annual salary of ₹22 lakhs or more, with proof submitted through official documents such as Form 16, payslips, or performance appraisals.
  • For professionals working in the private sector or on consolidated salary structures:
    • At least 13 years of post-qualification work experience is mandatory.

Essential Expertise:

  • Should have worked on design-related assignments in infrastructure domains such as railways, highways, metro systems, expressways, or building construction.
  • Must be capable of handling preliminary design for tenders, preparing execution-level drawings, and calculating quantities for Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) projects.

For Deputy General Manager/Civil (Grade E-4):

  • Candidates must have completed a minimum of 9 years of post-qualification experience in relevant fields.
  • For applicants currently serving in PSUs, government departments, or railways:
    • Should be employed at ₹70,000 – ₹2,00,000 (IDA) or Level 11 (CDA),
    • OR must have served for at least two years at ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000 (IDA) or Level 9 (CDA).
  • For employees working in public sector banks or other organizations not following IDA/CDA pay scales:
    • Annual compensation should not be less than ₹19 lakhs.
  • For those in private sector or on consolidated pay:
    • Should have at least 9 years of work experience relevant to the role.

Required Skill Set:

  • The applicant must have hands-on experience in project planning, cost estimation, and budgeting in infrastructure fields such as roads, railways, metro projects, expressways, or buildings.

Medical Standards:

Applicants must be in sound physical and mental condition. No exceptions will be made regarding the required medical fitness criteria.

Service Bond

Selected candidates will need to sign a service agreement committing them to remain with the organization for a minimum of three years. The bond amount is fixed at ₹3,00,000.

Place of Posting:

Appointed candidates can be stationed at any of the company’s project sites or office locations within India or overseas, depending on organizational needs.

Selection Procedure:

Candidates will be shortlisted based on performance in a written examination and/or a personal interview. Final selection will consider merit and professional experience.
